Madness Factor

Happy Christmas. It’s pissing rain here in Seattle. Not the holiday weather I’m down with at all. I rang the folks back home in Vermont, and there’s a lovely dusting of snow on the ground, and the temperature was somewhere in the 30s. That sounds just about right.

I haven’t been in the holiday spirit at all this year. The weather hasn’t helped, but there are other factors too. Hubby and I have both been working a lot for one. Also, the cat I got when I was a kid and who has been living with my parents since I left home had to be put to sleep the day before yesterday. She was 21. A ripe old age for a kitty, but I was still very sad. The last time I saw her was a year ago, and I kind of hoped I would be able to see her again before the inevitable came upon her. She seemed like she would live forever. RIP, Willie.

Maybe that festive feeling will catch up to me by New Year’s….
